The short answer

Choose the ELEGOO V4.0 for the clearest broad introduction and the deepest beginner support. KEYESTUDIO is the lower-cost 4WD alternative; SunFounder is for learners willing to add network and camera debugging.

Before you order
  1. 01

Check the exact kit revision, controller, battery requirements and download page before ordering.

  2. 02

Test one motor at a time before adding line following, obstacle avoidance or phone control.

  3. 03

A camera adds Wi-Fi, latency and privacy issues; it is not a basic first-robot requirement.

Control power and movement

A small robot can trap hair or fingers, and rechargeable cells need the same care as other battery-powered equipment.

  • Use only the specified battery type, polarity and charger, and power off before changing connections.
  • Lift driven wheels clear for the first motor test and keep fingers, fabric and cables away from moving parts.
  • Keep camera robots on a secured network and do not record people without a clear, lawful and respectful reason.
