complete kits currently miss.

No complete French-polishing kit with a reliable live Amazon UK listing survived our checks. These three purchasable components form the practical core: ready-mixed polish, clean cotton for the rubber and a very-fine pad for cautious de-nibbing.

Three components, then technique

Use Liberon FP250 as the ready-mixed finish, cut the JMS Bridge stockinette into clean outer cloths and reserve the Faithfull very-fine pad for light de-nibbing between fully dry sessions.

Before the first pass
  1. 01

Practise on a flat offcut or replaceable veneered board, not valuable furniture, a piano or an instrument.

  2. 02

Make the rubber with a soft absorbent core and a smooth, crease-free cotton face; the stockinette is the outer cloth, not a complete pad by itself.

  3. 03

Apply very thin films and keep the rubber moving. If it drags, stop and diagnose rather than adding a wet flood of polish.

  4. 04

Read the current safety data sheet. Work away from flames, heaters, sparks and smoking, use strong ventilation, and store solvent-soaked materials safely.
